England Euro 2012
England have been playing well recently, they didn’t struggle through the group stages and in recent friendly’s have played well against strong teams such as Spain who England defeated 1-0. The potential is there and if Fabio Capello can sort his squad out and train them well there is no reason why England would not have a shot at the title. They have never won the European Championship and in 2008 didn’t even manage to qualify for it, the best result out of the competition they achieved was in 1996 when they reached the semi finals but lost out to Germany.
Star Players
England have recently developed quite a young squad with significant strength in depth. With young players like Manchester united defender Phil Jones who is just 19 and Theo Walcott who is known around the world for his speed, England’s future looks promising. Experience comes with the likes of John Terry, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Ashley Cole. England are not short of any factor needed to win the competition and with Wayne Rooney, arguably their biggest talent waiting in the wings they have a chance to put their dismal World Cup display behind them..
